Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: November 1, 2026
1. The core rule
White Defender is a defensive, white-hat tool. You may only point its scanners at systems you own, or systems you are explicitly authorized to test (for example, under a signed penetration-testing engagement or a bug-bounty program’s published scope). This is not optional — the Web Recon Scanner requires you to confirm authorization before every scan, and we mean it.
2. Prohibited uses
You agree not to use the Service to:
- scan, probe, or test any system without proper authorization;
- attempt to exploit, damage, or disrupt any system (the Service’s own scanners are passive/read-only by design, but you may not use findings or AI output to then carry out an actual attack);
- attempt to bypass or disable the Service’s own safeguards, such as the web scanner’s refusal to target private/internal IP ranges;
- upload malware, illegal content, or content that infringes a third party’s rights for scanning;
- use the AI Advisor to generate ready-to-use exploit code, malware, or step-by-step intrusion instructions against a real, named target — the Advisor is instructed to refuse this, and attempting to work around that refusal is itself prohibited; or
- place excessive automated load on the Service (e.g. scripted bulk scanning) in a way that degrades it for other users.
3. Consequences
Violating this policy may result in suspension or termination of your access to the Service, in addition to any liability you may have under applicable law for unauthorized access to computer systems.
4. Reporting misuse
If you believe the Service is being used to target a system without authorization, contact business@thewmad.com.
